Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within fourteen days, without giving a reason.
The period
Fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded.
How to withdraw
Tell us clearly that you are withdrawing — an email to [email protected] is enough. You do not have to use a form or explain yourself. Sending the message before the fourteen days are up is sufficient; it does not have to have arrived.
Because Paddle is the merchant of record, you may also raise it with Paddle directly, and a refund is returned by the same means you paid with.
What happens then
We refund every payment received, using the same means of payment you used, without charge, and without undue delay — within fourteen days at the latest.
When the right ends early — read this before you subscribe
A subscription gives you access immediately. Under §18(1)(11) FAGG in Austria — Art 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU — the right of withdrawal for digital content supplied before the end of the withdrawal period lapses only if all three of the following happened:
you expressly agreed that supply should begin before the fourteen days were up; you acknowledged that in doing so you lose the right of withdrawal; and we gave you confirmation of that agreement on a durable medium.
Unless all three happened, your right of withdrawal remains — even though you have already read. We do not treat the mere act of using the service as consent, because it is not.
Cancelling a subscription is a different thing
Withdrawal undoes the contract. Cancellation ends a renewing one. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the paid period runs out; there is no notice period and nothing to justify. Cancelling does not shorten or waive the withdrawal right described above.
If you bought before this became a subscription
Anyone who paid once for the library keeps it. That access does not expire and is not affected by any later change to how the service is sold.
